Lube Technicians
Job Title: Technician (Entry Level – Level III)
Reports to: Crew Chief
Primary Responsibilities: The Technician performs all duties related to the preparation and application of all oil and lubrication requirements related to the tractor/trailer. Performs all tire services safely and efficiently as directed by the Crew Chief.

Primary Job Functions:
Technician Entry Level
Entry level technicians will participate in a 120 day training program to allow for certification to perform all job functions of a Technician Level I.
Technician Level I
- Display a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Fulfill all job responsibilities and assist others as necessary.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Performs general housekeeping duties as directed by the Crew Chief.
- Grease truck and trailer.
- Drop oil and change filters.
- Properly perform all Pre-Torque procedures.
- Complies with all safety standards.
Technician Level II
- Continues to perform all Technician Level I functions.
- Performs job functions based on own initiative.
- Change fuel filters using proper procedures.
- Change air filters and cabin air filters using proper procedures.
- Provides coolant analysis using proper procedures.
- Provides remote oil filter service using proper procedures.
- Provides hub service using proper procedures.
- Checks power steering fluid.
- Apply grease to top side locations per guidelines.
- Is thoroughly knowledgeable of all equipment.
- Performs air pressure checks using proper procedures.
- Inspects wiper blades and informs customer of defects found.
- Complies with all safety standards.
Technician Level III
- Continues to perform all Technician Level II functions.
- Provides Reefer service using proper procedures.
- Provides Generator and APU service using proper procedures.
- Familiar with troubleshooting and rectifying hard starts.
- Correctly reads the Quick filter chart.
- Properly identifies different lubes and the application in which they are used.
- Provides exceptional customer service.
- Maintains TIA certification.
- Able to perform full torque procedure.
- Complies with all safety standards.
