Job Title:  Crew Chief Level I - III

Reports to:  General Manager and Managers

Primary Responsibilities:  The Crew Chief is responsible for all oil and lubrication operations. Responsible for providing guidance and direction to ensure all tire services are performed safely and efficiently. Ensures that reporting and invoicing is accurate and complete for all services rendered during his/her assigned shift.

Desirable Qualifications: 

  • Experience with semi-tractor oil and lubrication requirements.
  • Good mechanical skills.
  • Good oral communication skills.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) Standards.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Availability to work various shift schedules.
  • Dependable

Primary Job Functions:

 

Crew Chief Level I

 

  • Ability to perform all job functions of a Technician Level III.
  • Ability to provide guidance and leadership to subordinates.
  • Knowledge of Crew Chief Fleet Procedures.
  • Greet customers and prepare work orders.
  • Present product and service offerings to customers.
  • Knowledge of proper operation and maintenance of Coats Balancer.
  • Knowledge of tire repair and installation procedures.
  • Conducts safety meetings.
  • Train Technician Level I.
  • Complies with all safety standards.

Crew Chief Level II

 

  • Excels in performing all job functions of a Crew Chief Level I
  • Provides exceptional customer service
  • Conducts safety meetings.
  • Manages and controls inventory levels
  • Assists with the EOM (end of month) inventory process.
  • Responsible for Torque Wrench Calibration maintenance.
  • Inspects tires and records results
  • Trains Technician Level II and III.
  • Trains Crew Chief Level I
  • Complies with all safety standards.

Crew Chief Level III

 

  • Excels in performing all job functions of a Crew Chief Level II
  • Provides exceptional guidance and leadership to subordinates.
  • Provides customers with quotes for tire sales and casing credits.
  • Conducts safety meetings
  • Significant involvement with the EOM (end of month) inventory process.
  • Performs duties of Cashier Level I
  • May perform key holder functions.
  • Has completed High School or obtained GED.
  • Trains Crew Chief Level II.
  • Complies with all safety standards.
