General Manager

Job Title: General Manager

Reports To: Regional Manager

Objective: The general manager is responsible for directing and coordinating activities to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize profits by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Manages three subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of twenty-five (25) employees in the Lubrication, Tire and Service departments. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable laws.

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Plans, develops and implements organization policies and goals.
  • Directs and coordinates promotion of services performed to develop new markets, increase share of market, and obtain competitive position in industry.
  • Analyzes budget requests to identify areas in which reductions can be made, and allocates operating budget.
  • Confers with administrative personnel and reviews activity, operating, and sales reports to determine changes in programs or operations required.
  • Directs preparation of directives to store manager/assistant managers outlining policy, or operations changes to be implemented.
  • Inform Corporate office of any significant incidents/accidents as required.
